"Empowering Bangladesh Through Skills: The Role of the National Skills Development Authority (NSDA)"
The National Skills Development Authority (NSDA) of Bangladesh, established in 2018, is the central agency responsible for formulating and overseeing national policy on skills development. Its mission is to ensure a skilled and employable workforce through improved coordination among ministries, public and private training providers. The NSDA defines sectoral skill standards, accredits training institutions, and ensures quality assurance mechanisms. It also facilitates public–private partnerships and mobilizes resources to align training programs with labor market needs. Through national skills councils, the NSDA engages industry in curriculum design, promoting responsive and up‑to‑date training. Ultimately, its vision is to foster sustainable economic growth and human development by equipping millions of Bangladeshis—especially young people, women, and the underprivileged—with relevant, high-quality vocational skills tailored to global and domestic demands
